Frequently Asked Questions
Everything first-timers (and old salts) ask before stepping aboard. Don't see your question? Just ask — we love to talk trips.
General
No — for charter trips, you're covered. Guests fishing aboard a licensed for-hire charter vessel are covered by the boat's license in most states. We handle all of it for you.
Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and polarized sunglasses; non-marking closed-toe shoes; a light jacket (it's cooler on the water); any personal medication (take seasickness meds before boarding); snacks and drinks in a soft cooler; a waterproof phone pouch; a valid photo ID; and cash for the gratuity. We provide all rods, reels, bait, tackle, ice, and licenses.
Our charters are USCG-regulated and carry a maximum of 6 passengers (the 'six-pack' rule). Larger groups can book multiple trips — just give us a call.
Gratuity is customary and appreciated. The standard is 15–20% of the trip price. You can add a tip when you book, after your trip, or in cash at the dock.
Policies
Safety first. The captain watches the marine forecast and makes the final call. If we cancel for weather or unsafe seas, you get a full refund or a free reschedule — your choice.
